With the aim of helping Georgia overcome its political crisis and return to the path of European integration, the members of the Environmental Protection Group of the Georgian Public Assembly are working on:
Raising awareness of critical environmental issues;
Prioritizing environmental protection, climate change, and sustainable natural resource management within the national political agenda;
Supporting the implementation of European legislation, standards, and governance systems;
Strengthening environmental democracy;
Protecting and realizing one of the fundamental human rights guaranteed by Article 29 of the Constitution of Georgia — the right to live in a healthy environment.
Any citizen of Georgia who shares the goals of the Assembly and wishes to contribute to the group’s activities is welcome to join.
